PF Tek โ The classic DIY method
Grow 'cakes' from jars of brown rice flour and vermiculite, inoculated with a spore syringe. Cheap per grow, teaches you real cultivation skills, and scales up nicely.
About this method
PF Tek (Psilocybe Fanaticus Technique) is the classic hobbyist method: sterilize jars of BRF and vermiculite, inoculate with spores, wait for colonization, then birth the 'cakes' into a humid fruiting chamber.
Spore syringes are legal to buy in the Netherlands. The main investment is a pressure cooker for sterilization โ after that, each batch costs only a few euros in materials.
The key skill is sterile technique. Work clean, be patient during colonization (3โ5 weeks), and don't open jars early.
