About this method
The monotub is the workhorse of home cultivation: mix colonized grain spawn into a bulk substrate (coco coir, vermiculite, gypsum) inside a modified storage tub, and let it do its thing.
You can buy ready-colonized grain spawn (easier, legal in NL) or make your own from rye grain and a spore syringe (cheaper at scale, needs a pressure cooker).
Bigger substrate means bigger flushes, but also bigger contamination stakes — this method rewards people who have grown before.
